Fall Decor 2016

Happy Columbus Day everyone!! It is a lovely bank holiday so that means I am at home cleaning, making preschool snacks, working on DIY's, and trying to fit in a blog post while Mason is taking a nap.  As you all know I love home decor and I love when my house looks good.  Today I figured I would share with you all how I have decorated my house for fall.

The first picture I already shared on Instagram, but since it went along with my post I figured I would share it again. I painted the letters on the white pumpkins that I purchased from the local FFA Chapter and I added the ribbon to the stems.  I have these sitting right outside my front door.

I purchased these mini pumpkins from Target and put them in vases on each side of my TV.  The vases I ordered off of Amazon. I also have candles sitting by both of them.  The silver one I purchased at Bath and Body works and the marble candle I purchased at Target on clearance. (I am obsessed with marble)  The marble candle is sitting on a candle holder that I found at a thrift store for only 50 cents which was major bargain.

I have these three pumpkins on my coffee table.  The two bigger ones I purchased at Shopko and the smallest one I purchased at Target.

I purchased this pumpkin last year off of Zulily and I have it sitting in my entertainment center.  I surrounded the pumpkin with pine cones that I spray painted silver.  The two signs I have sitting out year round but those were both purchased at Shopko.

I purchased this glass pumpkin that lights up from Dollar General. The sign sitting next to it is from Shopko.  I have these sitting on an end table.

These pumpkins I made myself last year.  I made a blog post last year about them, so if you want to know how I made these adorable pumpkins, go check it out. These are sitting right inside my front door.

I seem to keep adding to my collection of fall decor, so if I add more before the season is over I will add it to this post.  My house decor collection is always growing!!  I hope you all are have a fabulous Monday and have a great week! :)

XOXO
Kylie

Become a Partner in Hope

Today is February 4th, which also happens to be World Cancer Day.  In honor of World Cancer Day, the radio station I listen to everyday at work had many cancer survivors, and parents of cancer patients tell their stories.  Every time a parent or a child told their story, I was almost in tears.  In every story they all said "I never thought it would happen to me."  It is so true, no one ever thinks it is going to happen to them.  I couldn't even begin to imagine if I was told that my son has cancer.  I don't want to even think about it.  After hearing all of these stories I decided I wanted to do something to help.  So I went on to stjude.org and became a partner in hope.  I signed up to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital monthly.  It comes straight out of your credit card or bank account.  You can choose the dollar amount to donate per month.  Any amount helps so much.  It is so easy to do and I hope others wi...

That Thing Called "Co-Parenting"

Co-parenting.....oh the joys!   This has been a hot topic on my Facebook newsfeed lately.  I think anyone that has to co-parent doesn't enjoy it.  It can be very difficult and a huge struggle.  Some people are great at it and I envy those people.  Some people wish they could parent alone instead of having to co-parent and I have been right there with you.  Over the past almost five years my co-parenting style has definitely evolved.  Right now it is somewhat non-existent and that is just the way I like it. I have decided that Mason's father can choose how much involvement he wants in Mason's life but I am not going to go out of my way to force it on him.  The door is always open to call Mason whenever he wants and to come to Mason's activities.  Even though that door is open.....he rarely uses it.  I inform him of the things that I am legally required to notify him about and he will text me randomly every once in awhile to see how Maso...

Up&Up Advanced Whitening Wraps Review

I have never tried anything for whitening my teeth before because of how expensive it is.  The past few times I have went to target I noticed how much cheaper their up&up whitening wraps were.  I was curious how they worked so I decided to give them a shot.  I purchased them for $14.39 on sale.  They are normally $15.99 a box.  It is a 7 day treatment but they come with 10 upper and 10 lower strips.  I was very pleased with the results.  I have definitely noticed a difference in the whiteness of my teeth.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to whiten their teeth.  The picture down below is of my before and after results after 6 days of using the whitening wraps.  I have also included the link to the whitening wraps. http://www.target.com/p/up-up-7-day-advanced-whitening-wraps-14-count/-/A-15291394#prodSlot=_1_3
