How To Survive Having Expensive Taste On A Small Budget

I became a mom at 17, bought a house at 20, and love the finer things in life.  All of these things have taught me how to save money but also find great deals on name brand items. I am going to share all of my secrets with you.

-One of my oldest secrets is the app Poshmark.  You can buy and sell clothes, makeup, and accessories.  I have found some amazing deals over the past years on this app.  I not only buy clothes for myself but I also find great deals on clothes for my son Mason.  Which is awesome because kids grow out of clothes so fast! I do not just buy from the app but I also sell.  I have made over $400 from selling on Poshmark.  You can either use what you make to purchase other items off of Poshmark or you can have it deposited into your bank account or receive a check.  Use the code KYLIE2012 when you sign up to receive $5 to use on your first purchase!  You definitely will not regret downloading this app.

-Shortly after I started using Poshmark, I discovered the app Mercari, which is very similar to Poshmark.  It is also an app where you can buy and sell items.  There are a few advantages to Mercari over Poshmark.  Mercari takes less of a commission from your sales than Poshmark does.  You also can find a lot more sellers offering free shipping on Mercari and this girl lives for free shipping!  Use my code XZUNQY when you sign up to receive $10 to use on your first purchase!

-Now lets talk about Target, my favorite place on earth.  Unfortunately I live 2.5 hours away from the closest Target.  I know...its crazy! That is why a Target Red Card is a MUST for me!  You get 5% off of every order and FREE shipping.....you all know how I feel about free shipping! Now they are also offering free 2 day shipping on some items which is amazing!! I don't know why anyone would NOT have a Target Red Card. There is no downfall to having one. Sprint to the nearest Target and sign up NOW!  Don't forget to also use the Target Cartwheel app in store to save extra.  I always scan all of my items to check and see if there is an extra discount that I can use.

-The next secret I have been using for years....Ebates.  It is so easy to save money by using Ebates anytime you shop online.  Since I live far away from civilization I am always ordering online.  Just ask my son...there is a package at our door about everyday!  With Ebates all you have to do is go through their website to get to Walmart, American Eagle, Macy's or wherever you want to order from and they will pay you a percentage back of your purchase.  It is so easy you just have to remember to use it!  Use this website to sign up and get $10 https://www.ebates.com/r/KYLIED74?eeid=28187

These are my top and most used ways to save money.  I honestly live to find amazing deals and I am always searching for new ways to save! I have expensive taste but I will RARELY pay full price for anything!!

Thoughts On "Why the Strongest Girls Are Insecure"

I just came across this article today on Facebook and it reminded me so much of myself, so I had to share it.  At the end of the article I will share my thoughts on it. Why the Strongest Girls Are Insecure By Holly Riordan She has high standards. She won’t settle for boys that treat her disrespectfully. She won’t hold onto friendships that are toxic. She won’t let anyone that brings her down remain in her life.  But she isn’t a hypocrite. She holds herself to those same standards. She expects herself to reach the stars, so she hates herself on the days when she sits in bed with a bag of chips and skips the gym. On the days when she doesn’t get enough done. Of course, no matter how much she accomplishes in life, no matter how much love she gives, she keeps pushing herself further. She wants to do more. To be more. Because she knows she’s capable of more.  She’s insecure, because she believes in her potential and she knows that she hasn’t reached it...

My College "Secret"

Someone asked me the other day how I went through college and was able to make it financially while paying for a child so I figured that was a great blog topic.  The first thing I told her was I am just naturally a saver.  Anyone who knows me knows I am very cautious with my money.  If I buy something you can bet it was on sale or I used a coupon.  Today at my family Easter we were actually playing family feud and the question was "What do you call someone who is careful with money?"  and my brother answered "Kylie."  I guess you could say I chose the right profession. From the time I found out I was pregnant I strongly believed that no one should have to pay my way or my child's way through life just because I got pregnant at a young age.  It was my decisions that had got me to that point so I needed to be responsible for my actions. I know this isn't possible for everyone but I knew it was possible for me.   I have had a "real" job ever s...

That Thing Called "Co-Parenting"

Co-parenting.....oh the joys!   This has been a hot topic on my Facebook newsfeed lately.  I think anyone that has to co-parent doesn't enjoy it.  It can be very difficult and a huge struggle.  Some people are great at it and I envy those people.  Some people wish they could parent alone instead of having to co-parent and I have been right there with you.  Over the past almost five years my co-parenting style has definitely evolved.  Right now it is somewhat non-existent and that is just the way I like it. I have decided that Mason's father can choose how much involvement he wants in Mason's life but I am not going to go out of my way to force it on him.  The door is always open to call Mason whenever he wants and to come to Mason's activities.  Even though that door is open.....he rarely uses it.  I inform him of the things that I am legally required to notify him about and he will text me randomly every once in awhile to see how Maso...
